Saturnia thermal hot springs in the rustic hills of Tuscany, Italy.
These stunning hot springs are located halfway between Rome and Siena, and are an absolute must for anyone embarking on a self-driving tour of Italy. T
he hot water springs are called "Cascate di Mulino" and are located less than 6 km outside of the town of Saturnia and 3 km from the Terme di Saturnia Resort.
The therapeutic thermal waters flow into naturally carved travertine pools at a constant 37c, so you’re guaranteed to walk away feeling relaxed and rejuvenated! Best of all, visiting the springs is free. Here are some tips to ensure a great visit:
- Bring water shoes as the ground is rocky.
- Remove jewellery as the high sulfur content in the water will tarnish them.
- There are no changing facilities so wear your bathing gear under your clothes.
- General facilities are limited in the area so pack a picnic and plenty of water.
